The Margaret River Region set a shining example at the 2015 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards with a swathe of medals exemplifying the region’s high tourism standards.
Several local businesses were named category winners – the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro for Major Festivals and Events, Geographe Bay Tourism for Visitor Services, Koomal Dreaming for Indigenous Tourism, Vasse Virgin for Specialised Tourism Services, Top Drop Tours for Tour and Transport Operators, Southern Skydivers for Adventure Tours and Big 4 Peppermint Park for Tourist and Caravan Parks.
Bronze medals were brought home by Amalfi Beach Resort Busselton for Standard Accommodation and Fervor for New Tourism Development.
The gala dinner ceremony was held on Saturday night at Crown Perth, and all category winners now progress to the QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards in 2015.
