Next Cruise Ship to Busselton – Dawn Princess Friday 24 April 2015

By April 16, 2015What's on?

Our next cruise ship will be on Friday 24 April 2015 with the fully booked Pacific Jewel visiting with 1900 passengers and 900 crew.

The Pacific Jewel is scheduled to arrive at 0800 and depart at 1800. The itinerary for this vessel commences in Fremantle (23 April) -) – Busselton (24 April) – terminates Fremantle (25 April).

Passengers will disembark on the eastern arm of the Swim Jetty which will be closed to the general public: however the swimming area and western pier will remain accessible.

On this occasion music students from the Georgiana Molloy Anglican School performing on the foreshore to welcome these visitors to Busselton.20150310_094322_resized

As Busselton is an anchorage port, if the weather on cruise days is deemed to be unsuitable shore excursions will be cancelled and all passengers will remain on board the ship and it will not stop at Busselton.

This is a short duration cruise, commencing and terminating in Fremantle so not as many passengers will have pre-booked activities as previous cruises; and the majority that disembark will explore Busselton independently. Therefore we will be amending the road and car park closures as follows:

From 07:00 till 17:00 24 April 2015 – Partial car park closure allowing for coaches only on the southern side (tennis courts) of the foreshore car park between Simmo’s and the Equinox.

From 07:30 till 16:00 13 April 2015- Queen Street in the Cultural Precinct will be closed to traffic for the “Cruise in” markets and to facilitate the movement of pedestrian traffic through to the CBD.

Once again out Volunteers and Jetty Hosts will be on hand at the foreshore distributing maps and information to assist disembarking passengers.
