The Augusta Margaret River and Geographe Bay Tourism Associations are raising a toast to the Margaret River Region’s outstanding chardonnay, as part of International Chardonnay Day on Thursday 21st May, and we encourage you to get involved! Here’s how you can celebrate our region’s world-class chardonnay:
- Offer something special for customers: Run a special chardonnay-related initiative on the day – whether it’s a vertical tasting, a special reserve chardonnay tasting, a free glass of chardonnay with purchase of a meal, a free bottle with purchase of a case or a night’s accommodation, or whatever you like – be creative!
- Get on social media: Use the hashtags #ChardDay and #margaretriver to link in your Chardonnay-related images on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
- Send customers to our visitor centre: Visitors and locals can drop into the Margaret River Visitor Centre for free chardonnay tastings on Thursday, and a complimentary bottle of chardonnay will be offered to the first 40 accommodation bookings made on the day, through the Margaret River, Augusta, Busselton or Dunsborough Visitor Centres, online or via telephone. Visitors can choose from a fantastic range of resorts, hotels, apartments, villas, farmstays and more.
