Favourite part of the job: Driving out of town and into the stunning karri forest, when most others are driving the other way. I also love seeing the looks on the faces of our visitors, once they start to truly grasp the time scale involved in cave formation.
Tell us something about yourself that not many people would know? I grow the tastiest nectarines in the whole region.
Detail your perfect Margaret River Region day: Early uncrowded surf, then a huge breakfast of MR Farmhouse bacon, MR free-range eggs and Yallingup wood-fired bread, then a snooze, and then a walk around the Marri forest with my 18 month-old daughter.
