International Coffee Day – 29 September

Tuesday 29 September is International Coffee Day and we want to show visitors how to enjoy the region’s best coffee experiences. Here are some ideas for businesses wanting to celebrate the day:

HOLD TASTINGS AT MARGARET RIVER VISITOR CENTRE

If you’re a coffee business looking for some exposure, why not set up at Margaret River Visitor Centre for the day and hold tastings for visitors. We even have space for a coffee van in the car park if that’s of interest. Email [email protected] if you would like to find out more.

PROMOTE YOUR SPECIAL OFFER

The website team is working to create some online editorial around the day, and we would like to supplement the content with details of any special offers or events being held across the region. If your business is organising activity, please email [email protected] by Tuesday 22 September with the details.

PROMOTE YOUR EVENT

You can also enter any events to the online event calendar at: http://capetocapeevents.com/ – just click on ‘post your event’ and submit your event titled something like “International Coffee Day at [insert name]”.

COFFEE WITH A VIEW

Do you have a great photo of coffee being enjoyed in the spectacular surroundings of Your Margaret River Region? Send it to [email protected] with the name of the location for inclusion in our online ‘Coffee Day’ photo gallery. If the image is of a takeaway coffee we can still mention the place where the coffee was bought.

START PLANNING YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVITY

The International Coffee Day hashtag is #internationalcoffeeday – why not jump onto Instagram and Twitter to see what people were posting last year to get some ideas. We think it could work well to post a coffee-related image which showcases our beautiful region on the day – use #margaretriver when you post and we’ll share the best images. You may also like to use #restaurantaustralia to get the conversation going.
