Wine Awards – Congratulations to David Hohnen of McHenry Hohnen and the Farm House Margaret River, recently awarded the Perth Wine Press Club Jack Mann Medal at the Perth Royal Wine Show for his contribution to the WA wine industry spanning over 45 years. Outstanding achievement for one of the true pioneers of the industry.
Margaret River Chocolate Company – have once again been a big winner at this year’s Perth Royal Show chocolate competition introducing several innovative new products to great acclaim.
A new cinnamon truffle was the big winner, securing a first prize trophy and gold medal, along with other new taste sensations like a chocolate brownie truffle, oriental spice truffle, caramel shortbread bar, peanut butter and jelly bar and a European-inspired Speculoos bar. We cannot wait to try these delectable new flavours!
Barnyard 1978 – Is a brand new extension to Sienna Lodge in Yallingup, and is a pasta factory, bistro style restaurant & cellar door, with a viewing window allowing visitors to watch signature pasta in making with free pasta and wine tastings to please your palate. The menu looks amazing, cannot wait to check this place out.
Maiolo Wines – will be closing the Cellar Door for short time, from Fathers Day Sunday 6th September until October 11th, and re opening on the 12th October.
