Raising funds for the fourth sculpture, the Spanish Settler
The Busselton Settlement Art Project is an initiative of the City of Busselton in partnership with the community which celebrates the history of the Vasse region. The project includes the installation of six life-size bronze sculptures that will adorn the Cultural Precinct on Queen Street in Busselton.
The Spanish Settlers came to the Vasse region in 1898, bringing with them the skills of generations of wine makers. While wines were being made, this sculpture
acknowledges that the Spanish migrants began the business of making ‘quality wines’.
