Applications for Tourism WA’s 2016-17 Regional Events Scheme, which is jointly funded by Royalties for Regions, are due in two months. The deadline for applications is 5pm WST on Monday, February 1, 2016.
New or growing events that draw visitors to regional Western Australia in 2016-17 can apply for a funding boost through the largest-ever Regional Events Scheme round, with a record pool of up to $850,000 available.
Applications are now open for grants between $5,000 and $50,000 through the initiative, which is funded by the State Government through Tourism WA and Royalties for Regions.
The scheme offers funding for eligible regional events held between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 that have the ability or potential to attract visitors to the region, achieve media attention and involve and inspire the local community.
Event holders can apply for funding between $5,000 and $50,000. A funding pool of up to $850,000 has been allocated for the 2016-17 RES round.
