Get mooooving at the Deja Moo Fair Cowlympics!

Dust off your cow onesie, the annual DEJA MOO FAIR is right around the corner!

This year’s fair is on Saturday 9th July from 9am – 3pm, during July school holidays. The fair is a celebration of Cowaramup’s fibreglass cows and is enjoyed by visitors and locals, young and old. This year ‘s event will feature COWLYMPICS as part of the fun on the Cowaramup Oval, with a series of different events and obstacles. Participants complete as many events as possible getting a passport stamped at each event to show their participation.  Some of the events include:

  • Cow jumps over the moon obstacle
  • Splat the Dung Beetle activity
  • Milk Bottle Skittles
  • Bull Pull (Tug of War)
  • Cow Pat Discuss
  • Jumboot Toss

Of course, all made more fun by the participants wearing their cow onesies!  There will also be a special guest appearance by the Masters Milk Cows made famous by their Down South Master Milk TV ad – sure to be a hit!

Combined with our usual highly appreciated local craft and yummy food stalls market, a bouncy castle and mechanical bull rides along with pony rides and local bush fire brigade demonstrations, there will be plenty to offer all ages.

Local artists will also be holding an exhibition of artwork in the Duggan Pavilion called DEJA VIEW with visitors able to vote for a People’s Choice award.

In combination with the DEJA MOO FAIR is the COW RALLY, which has been running now for as long as the fair, now in its fifth year. Cow Rally entrants grab a passport from participating businesses or off the Cowaramup website and then try and answer as many of the 41 questions as they can by visiting local businesses listed.

The competition lasts for the entire month of July and the entry with the most correct answers will win $1000! The entrants get to visit lots of businesses that they may not have otherwise visited, the businesses raise their profile and visitors and locals get to do something interesting and challenging during the winter holiday break. It’s great family fun for all!
