We are thrilled to share with you the results from 2015-16, the first official year of the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association. It’s been momentous for many reasons, and significant initiatives and milestones reached.
We have put together the below infographic to showcase some of the highlights from the past 12 months including: a significant increase in visitation to the region and spend across all markets, but in particular international; more members than ever before making up an incredible, thriving industry; formalised partnerships with industry bodies; and a new focus on our digital content and assets including a Chinese version of the YMRR app and some innovative new technology set to take the world by storm. Some of the upcoming projects we are really excited about going into this our second year (and beyond), include the redevelopments at the Busselton-Margaret River Regional Airport, set to be a game-changer for the south west; upgrades to facilities at Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouses, and technology that will well and truly take us into the digital new age of visitor servicing.
