Cape to Cape MTB 20-23 October | EOI for prize contributions

cape-to-cape-2016-logo-300x135Cape to Cape MTB is right around the bend! Now in its ninth year, this exciting, internationally recognized event holds the title as Australasia’s biggest MTB multi-stage endurance race. Over 1300 competitors, their families, and spectators will be in the Margaret River region, attending the event and getting out and about to explore. We’re pretty lucky that this world class event has chosen to make the Margaret River region its home!

How can you get involved, you ask?

Cape to Cape MTB is seeking prize contributions to show off product from businesses throughout the region. Here is what they are looking for:

  • 8 x small category winner gifts, such as a restaurant/store voucher, experience, or small souvenir, to be used for the eight category prizes for the Stage 1 presentation. These could be eight different prizes, or prizes of approximate similar value from different businesses. Recommended value is around the $30-$50 range.
  • 4 x larger hamper-style prizes to be given out on stage (ideally something with presence when handing it over). These can be a combination of products from a range of businesses, or one business could contribute the entire prize. Recommended total value of each of the four prizes is around the $200 range.

In exchange, your business will be thanked through Cape to Cape MTB’s social media channels as having provided the prizes, recognized on the Cape to Cape MTB as a supporter, as well as verbal recognition by the MC when the prize is presented.

If you are interested in the opportunity, or want more information, please email Johanna Hamilton at [email protected] by Friday the 30th of September.

Not a rider yourself but want to live vicariously through the cyclists and cheer them on? Find out the spectator points here.

You can also check out the Sundown Shootout, where the Top 20 Men, Top 10 Women, a number of skilled special invitees and the local riders from the Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association (who always seem to show up in fancy dress!) will have one shot at laying down the fastest possible time. Up for grabs are critical time bonuses that count towards the Cape to Cape MTB overall, along with $2,500 in cold hard cash!
