Community Funding Opportunities

Flatpack Makeover for NFPs
As part of its commitment to community, IKEA is offering the opportunity for not-for-profit organisations to apply for a Living Local Community Grant. IKEA is seeking inspiring proposals from organisations with a need for home furnishings to undertake a makeover up to $8,000. To find out more visit https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2433592/IKEA-Living-Local-Community-Grants . The focus areas are organisations that: support and develop children; provide housing/shelter for people in need; and, rebuilding following emergencies.

Harvest a Gardening Grant
Funding for community garden projects is available from the Department of Local Government and Communities but the deadline is less than two weeks away. It is recognised that community gardens help develop greater understanding between neighbours, parents and young people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. Grants are capped at $10,000 for existing community gardens but new community gardens may apply for funding of up to $20,000. Prior to submitting an application, contact Gemma Turner on 6552 1643 via [email protected]. Also visit https://www.dlgc.wa.gov.au/GrantsFunding/Pages/Community-Gardens-Grants.aspx for more details.
