In 2015 Tourism WA launched the “Taste 2020” strategy to develop food and wine tourism in Western Australia. The aim – to strengthen WA’s position as an internationally recognised destination where you can savour gourmet produce, fresh seafood, premium wines and boutique beverages. This strategy is a key plank in Tourism WA’s overall strategy which aims to increase the value of the tourism sector from a $6 billion industry in 2010 to a $12 billion industry in 2020. One of the key strategies to grow the sector is the development of new tourism experiences including the creation of a network of food trails across the state.
Developing Food Trails in Your Margaret River Region
With Eat & Drink, Wine & Wineries being two of the five celebrated Your Margaret River Region brand experiences, MRBTA has partnered with Tourism WA to bring a Food Trail Brainstorming Workshop to the region and you are invited to participate!
Objective
To identify the success factors of food trails and to set out a food trail strategy
Presenter
John Stanley – participating delegates will have access to John’s e-book on Food Trails
