Free Season Pass for new look Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse Precinct

By December 14, 2017January 11th, 2018What's new from the MRBTA?

As a valued member of MRBTA, we are offering free entry to visit the new look Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse precinct.

The site has been undergoing a major refurbishment over the past year, and visitors can now tour the grounds, taking in the restored lighthouse keeper’s cottages, and 360 degree ocean views, at their leisure. A new whale viewing platform provides a spectacular coastal vantage point, a café with expansive decking offers a place to relax and enjoy refreshments, and children can play on the nautical themed playground. A new interactive interpretive centre is scheduled to open in June 2018.

The season pass retails at $15 and entitles the holder unlimited entry with their family (2 adults & 2 children) for a year from first entry. Guided tours of the lighthouse tower are an additional cost.

MRBTA members can obtain their complimentary season pass, simply by showing their current driver’s licence at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse or any one of the region’s visitor centres located in Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River and Augusta.

Cafe & playground now open at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse

After extensive renovations, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse reopened last month with an impressive new nautical themed playground.

The Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage has also been revamped and is now operated by Busselton’s popular restaurant The Goose. An experience in itself, the new café allows you to take a step back in time and enjoy a cup of coffee and a bite to eat in one of the charming Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage rooms surrounded by antique furniture and vintage ornaments. There will also be rotating art displays from local artists so you are likely to find something new each time you visit.
