What’s happening at the Margaret River Visitor Centre?
The $600,000 project, partially funded by the Regional Visitor Centre Sustainability Grant Program, will deliver a revitalised visitor experience that will enable us to better connect visitors with your business.
As our primary visitor servicing hubs, this project will bring the Margaret River Visitor Centre in line with the new Busselton Visitor Centre, completed in early 2017, allowing increased visitor dispersal throughout the region.

Timeline
The project will be completed in three phases over the next six months, which will allow the visitor centre to remain open for the entire duration of the renovation.
Update: 6 February 2018
In preparation for phase two, the wall at the front of the Visitor Centre (marked in yellow) will be removed from Monday the 12 February. We expect this to take 3-4 days. During this time visitors will only be able to access the Visitor Centre via the front stairs. The area will be fenced off and a signage and buzzer system will be in place for patrons accessing the building via wheelchair, staff will remotely service customers when they hear the buzzer.

How will this affect you?
As of the 15th of January the car park at the rear of the visitor centre will be partially fenced off with access to the building only available through the front entrance on Bussell Highway.
30% of the MRVC rear car park space will be fenced off for the building compound. There will be materials arriving throughout the day, causing further congestion. Tour operators who use the rear car park as a pick up spot are welcome to continue to do so during works or use the bus interchange on Fearn Avenue.
