There are only a few weeks left to get your nomination in for the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards – nominations close on Monday, May 28! Don’t miss your opportunity to put your business forward.
With 28 business categories to choose from, including Festivals & Events, Tour Operators, Adventure Tourism and several Accommodation options, as well as five individual awards, business of all types and sizes have the opportunity to enter the tourism industry’s most prestigious awards program.
The Awards is comprised of an online submission and site visit-based program that form part of the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards program. Gold Medallists in categories 1 – 25 will become automatic finalists in the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards and will represent WA on a national level in 2019.
Now in its 46th year, the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards recognise and reward business excellence within the Western Australian tourism industry.
Tourism operators can gain great benefits from participating in the awards program, including:

The Awards process consists of an online submission and site visit, and entrants also receive support to assist with their awards submission.

To make it as easy for you as possible, follow these three steps and ensure you are prepared to put your best submission forward for the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.
Start Your Tourism Awards File
Having all the relevant information and resources in one place before you commence the application process will make things much easier once you get to the pointy end! Include things like photos, testimonials, examples of marketing activities, innovations, other awards received, staff training initiatives and, importantly, examples of where your business has participated in industry events. Asking team members from across the business to submit material for your file will help you to ensure that all aspects of the business are covered in the final application.
Complete Your Accreditation to be Eligible to Enter
To be eligible for the awards, your business must be an Australian Tourism Accreditation Program Ltd (ATAP Ltd) endorsed program. Non-accredited businesses can submit a nomination but must have their accreditation completed by 13 August 2018 for their submission to be accepted. TCWA can fast-track an award nominee’s accreditation by assigning an Industry Adviser to help complete the program by the above date. It is possible to complete the program online within a fortnight if you provide the necessary information.
