Crafters, DIYers, and brides to be aren’t the only ones who use Pinterest. Pinterest has become a powerful platform for customers, from the dreaming stage to the doing stage of travel. Your Margaret River Region is joining the conversation with our very own Pinterest board.
According to Skift.com “As of February 2017, there were 3 billion travel-related Pins on the platform. And though the number of travel-related Pins is high, travelers aren’t only saving “pin-spiration” photos to fantasise about trips they might one day take–they’re actually using these Pins to help plan and book trips, to make decisions right before departure and as a point of reference during the trip itself.”
One of the major benefits we saw when making the decision to join Pinterest was the ability to inspire and drive traffic to our website at the same time (unlike Instagram where you can’t directly link posts). Pins also have a longer lifespan than other social media posts with people using the platform more like a search engine and social bookmarking platform.
We’re already seeing positive signs with followers pinning what looks like genuine travel boards.
So join us in our Pinterest journey, you can start following us here. We’ll keep an eye out for your pins and save them to our boards.
