Stella Results at the Margaret River Wine Show

Margaret River Wine Show

Congratulations to Wine Tourism Excellence finalists Adam Elton, Voyager Estate and Sandra Newland, Aravina Estate, as well as Emily Bromell for winning the inaugural MRBTA Wine Tourism Excellence Award last Thursday.

Emily was presented the award by the Sharna Kearney, MRBTA Joint CEO & Group Marketing Manager, at the Langton’s Margaret River Wine Show Gala Awards Dinner at Leeuwin Estate. The award celebrates the importance of wine tourism to the Margaret River Wine Region. It also acknowledges that wine tourism and sales and exports are intrinsically linked. It is awarded in recognition of a person’s outstanding achievement in the Margaret River wine industry.

Emily said “It is a huge honour to be named the first recipient of the Wine Tourism Excellence Award. I feel very grateful to the MRWA & MRBTA for this new initiative, in recognising what is often a lot of behind-the-scenes work in the wine industry. I am excited that this opportunity exists for my peers in the future.
I think it’s important for local young people in this region to know that wine tourism is absolutely a worthwhile career path that sits right on their doorstep.”

The 2018 Langton’s Margaret River Wine Show attracted 112 exhibitors and 723 entries to the 17th Margaret River Wine Show, with judging at Ramada Resort Dunsborough and the Wine Show Gala Dinner at Leeuwin Estate.

The Stella Bella team achieved fantastic results, taking home five trophies including Most Successful Exhibitor and Langton’s Trophy for Wine of Show. Congratulations to all the winners and everyone involved!
