Margaret River Perimeter Road Update

By December 10, 2018Regional News

Mainroads Western Australia has issued the following update regarding the Margaret River Perimeter Road works.

Completion of the final stages of works has been impacted by adverse weather conditions over the past month.

This has impacted on the construction of the gravel pavement resulting in a delay to sealing and asphalting that needs to be completed prior to the road opening to traffic.

The contractor is focusing very heavily on the northern tie in, in an effort to complete the works prior to Christmas.

Local road users are advised that a short section of John Archibald Drive to Tingle Avenue has been opened to traffic.

Speed reductions and intermittent lane closures will be in place as required while earthworks and pavement construction are completed. Road users may experience delays Monday to Saturday from 7am to 6pm. Plan ahead to avoid delays.

Thank you for your cooperation, and remember to “stay safe – stay out of work areas”.
