Australian Traveller magazine’s 100 Best Towns in Australia issue has just been released and places the Margaret River region’s spectacular town of Yallingup in the top spot, ahead of long-time frontrunners Noosa (Qld) and Byron Bay (NSW).
Alongside the coverage in the August/September/October edition of the magazine which has just hit the shelves, watch out for television coverage on this evening’s GWN7 Local News from 5.30pm.
The magazine says:
“…its transformation in the past decade from an under-the-radar beach town with a reputation that hasn’t spread much further than the surfing community to a destination attracting worldwide attention has been spectacular.”
WA was the only state to have two towns in the top 5, with Broome coming in at no.5.
