MRBTA Represents at the WA Regional Tourism Conference

By September 20, 2019September 25th, 2019What's new from the MRBTA?

Matt Norton, Attractions Business Development Manager, Jenny Lee, GM Marketing and Amanda Carmichael, Marketing and Communications Manager headed north this week to attend the WA Regional Tourism Conference in Karratha. The conference was a great opportunity to network and engage with industry colleagues, and hear from industry-leading speakers about critical industry issues and innovative ideas.

Jenny and Amanda also presented at the conference on the topic of ‘The Changing Face of Visitor Servicing’. The presentation was well received and it was great to hear feedback from other regions about their changing visitor servicing needs and opportunities.

The team were also at the event for the announcement of the Top Tourism Town and Top Emerging Tourism Town. MRBTA submitted nominations for each of the Margaret River region towns (Busselton, Dunsborough/Yallingup, Margaret River and Augusta) all of which were finalists for the award. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring home the prize this year with Exmouth and Cocos Keeling Islands receiving the gong.

Jenny and Amanda will present on the topic of Visitor Servicing to members as part of our Membership Engagement Training Calendar so stay tuned for details.
