Preparing to Welcome Flights to Busselton: Industry Toolkit Now Available

Many thanks to all businesses who took the time to attend one of the ‘Airline Ready’ workshops with Pip Close over the last two weeks. The programme has so far been attended by over 200 representatives of MRBTA and ASW member businesses.

Presentations from the training workshops  are now available online as part of an industry toolkit which can help your business to prepare to meet the needs of the discerning domestic traveller. Download the website health checklist, find out how to contact Jetstar and much more.

Further workshops and training will continue to be scheduled prior to the first arrivals on 25 March 2020.

Alongside the group sessions, a one-to-one mentoring programme is currently underway, and businesses can express an interest by completing this Business Health Checklist and returning to Pip Close via [email protected].

Live Weather Cross from Busselton on Weekend Sunrise

On 10th November the iconic Busselton Jetty featured in living rooms across the nation through live weather crosses on Weekend Sunrise. The broadcast was funded by MRBTA and ASW in cooperation with Busselton Jetty, and reached over 260,000 viewers nationally with the aim of converting sales of the flight route.

Tourism WA helped to secure extensive coverage on the region in the most recent issue of Jetstar Magazine. Five full pages of editorial coverage were dedicated to the Melbourne-Busselton flights and the hotspots of Busselton, Dunsborough and wider region.

Busselton-Margaret River Airport Update

Car Hire EOIs Closed

The City of Busselton called for expression of interest for rental car concessions from the Busselton-Margaret River Airport. The City has received five expressions of interest from the main rental car providers and expect to have rental car companies operating from the new Arrivals hall for the Jetstar flights in March 2020.

Transport Operators: EOIs Open 9 December

The City of Busselton will be calling for registrations of interest from transport operators including small charter vehicles, buses, coaches, shuttle vehicles, taxis and rideshare from 9th December. To register, please visit the Busselton-Margaret River Airport website from 9th December.
