WA’s New Global Tourism Brand Unveiled

By September 8, 2022Industry News & Updates

The following communication was issued by MRBTA Chair Stuart Hicks on 8th September 2022:

We were delighted to be in attendance as Tourism WA launched its highly anticipated new global brand ‘Walking on a Dream‘ at WA Museum Boola Bardip on Tuesday.  You can view the Brand Style Guide here.

It was especially pleasing to see the campaign creative feature the Margaret River Region as one of four key destinations, and the brand story focus on the inextricable connection between our stunning natural environment, rich Aboriginal history, and generous and welcoming spirit.

Tourism WA’s work is tightly aligned with our own Strategic Directions and Brand Narrative, and we look forward to continuing to working with Tourism WA and the WA State Government to ensure that our region is well-placed to deliver on the brand promise through projects like Unbeaten Tracks and the Recovery Plan for the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

This is an important junction as we plot our region’s post-Pandemic recovery and ‘Walking on a Dream’ holds us in good stead to attract visitors that contribute to our region’s economic prosperity, and share in the environmental, social, cultural and Aboriginal values our community holds dear.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Carolyn Turnbull and her team at Tourism WA for their commitment to showcasing our region and the State in such an authentic and compelling way.

Sincerely

Stuart Hicks
Chair
