August 2024 Member Mingle Wrap

By August 21, 2024Member Events
Thank you to everyone who attended our vibrant August Member Mingle at the Busselton Pavilion, in partnership with the Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). We enjoyed a delightful evening in the venue’s relaxed gastro-pub atmosphere.
Steve from the Busselton Pavilion provided an insightful overview of “The Pav,” including their expanding function and tourism business. He also highlighted their gastro-pub menu, curated by Head Chef Brendan Pratt, which features reimagined pub classics and a specialty rotisserie. We were particularly impressed by the boutique South West Wine Shop within the venue, showcasing over 80% regional products, including their own Gin and Vodka!
Victoria Yuen, CEO of BCCI, updated us on telecommunications and invited members to the upcoming Business Breakfast with NBN to share their feedback. She also reminded us that the 3G Network will be phased out after 3 October. Victoria emphasised BCCI’s commitment to supporting members through a variety of events, including coffee catch-ups, forums, and workshops tailored to various business needs. She also reminded members that nominations for the BCCI & DYCCI Business Excellence Awards are closing on 31 August.
Sharna Kearney, CEO of MRBTA, celebrated the 30 years of operation by the Busselton Visitor Centre. While MRBTA is a self-funded, non-profit organisation and not reliant on government funding, we extend our gratitude to the City of Busselton for their ongoing support, which helps us maintain this vital service.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Busselton Pavilion, especially as the City of Busselton has recently been named the 2024 Top Tourism Town by 7News. A huge thank you to our hosts at the Busselton Pavilion, our industry partner BCCI, and everyone who attended and made the Mingle a success.
Join us and the Margaret River Business Network (MRBN) for our next Mingle event on 19 September at the White Elephant!
