Our 2024 Mingle Jingle was a beautiful night, and it was lovely to come together with our members for our final event of the year.
A huge thanks to our hosts at Yallingup Maze, for sharing their beautiful venue with us for the night. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and it’s a testament to their commitment to providing an outstanding visitor experience, particularly with the addition of the mini golf space which was recognised in the 2023 Landscape Industries Association WA Awards of Excellence.
The location has evolved into a great hub of activities for visitors with the addition of Yallingup Aboriginal Art and Jilyara Wines. Mingle guests enjoyed a selection of Jilyara’s wines on the night, and we heard from Maria about their team, approach, and visitor experience. The incredible team at Goanna Catering offered a range of delicious foods to enjoy and refreshing brews from Eagle Bay Brewing Co. – including the newly launched West Coast Pilsner.
Rhys Pearce provided an update on behalf of Australia’s South West Board and team. He acknowledged the recent loss of Tim Greay, and the outstanding contribution he has made to the region’s tourism industry. We are thankful that Sara was available on the night to accept the donation of $1900 to Bowel Cancer Australia, which was raised through ticket sales. Sara talked about the importance of early screening and awareness of symptoms, which you can learn more about here and here.
Stuart Hicks provided an MRBTA update that talked about our close working relationship with our partners at ASW and how thankful we are to continue working with our members.
