Welcoming Cruise Guests to Busselton – Coach driver and guides session

The Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) and Tourism Western Australia are excited to announce that a Welcoming Cruise Guests to Busselton ‘sandwich session’ tailored to coach drivers, local transport and shorex guides, will be held in cooperation with City of Busselton.
The range of topics covered will include a brief overview of the ships and guests set to visit Busselton during the forthcoming 2023/24 cruise season and provide insights into the skills that ensure cruise passengers have a memorable visit. Topics will range from understanding cruise line expectations, to providing interesting commentary and storytelling for passengers.
Workshop facilitator Cherie Toovey, President of Tour Guides WA, has more than 24 years’ experience in the inbound tourism industry as a Tour Guide. She has been recognised for her extensive industry knowledge and skills, including winning the FACET Golden Guide Award. Cherie has extensive experience in delivering guiding and interpretive training to Parliament House and Rottnest Island guides.
