Training and Workshops

MRBTA aims to present a range of useful and high quality workshops throughout the year. Topics are chosen to meet the needs of members and to address key themes within the tourism industry.

How to participate: Keep an eye on our newsletters and/or mrbta.com for upcoming workshops and for information on how to register. If you have particular training/development needs in your business, please let the Membership team know. If we can’t deliver the training ourselves, we may know of good organisations that can.

Member Mingles

MRBTA works with members and key industry partners to provide regular Member Mingles. These events provide an opportunity for members to connect with MRBTA staff and other tourism operators in the region.

How to participate: Invitations are shared in our newsletters and you can register to attend via this website. If you would like to express interest in hosting a mingle, please contact the Membership team.

Member Famil Program

The MRBTA Member Familiarisation Program aims to assist you and your staff to recommend other businesses confidently and enthusiastically. It is another great way to connect with local operators and to promote your business. The Program offers four familiarisation tours throughout the year with each focused on towns of the region and their surrounds.

How to participate: Invitations are shared in our newsletters and you can register to host & attend via this website. EOIs will be considered to ensure a diverse mix of tourism offerings. Preference will be given to businesses that can schedule a frontline staff member to attend.

Visitor Servicing Famil Program

Our Visitor Servicing Famil program allows our consultants to better get to know your offering for when they are making recommendations to visitors. A team of visitor centre staff will come to your place of business for a 30-minute site based briefing. We aim to get out and see as many member businesses as possible per year, with famils taking place on average every two months.

How to participate: Please contact our Membership team to register your interest to host.
