Yallingup Malibu Classic

In 1985 a bunch of local surfers decided to hold a Competition to get together and have a bit of fun. All these years later the event has become one of the premier longboarding contests on the calendar. The Yallingup Malibu Classic was born. The Indian Ocean Longboard Club are now the custodians for keeping that history of the event alive each year. Together with a dedicated team of helpers the event springs to life early December and manages to capture that magic feeling of getting together and having some fun in the surf.

Karnidale |
The Karnidale Circus Festival is an epic two-day camping adventure, which brings together some of the most incredible performers on the planet. The festival opened its big top 15 years ago when juggler, unicyclist and comedian Matt ‘Fasto’ Yates turned dreams into action. Karnidale is home t four big tops, an amphitheatre, a converted double-decker bus and the Dr Reg Bolton Cabaret Bar, which serve as epic stages for circus and cabaret performers, comedy acts and musicians. The festival draws around 1500 revellers every year, with family-friendly performances and activities during the day, and adult-only entertainment after dark. There are often acts from Cirque du Soleil, as well as performers on the way to or from Glastonbury Theatre & Circus. |

Margaret River Pro |
The Margaret River Pro is an event on the ASP World Surfing Tour currently WSL World Surfing League. It was established in 1985. Spectators can watch all the action live and free at Surfers Point, with the bulk of the competition taking place on Main Break, South Side and The Box. The event hub has a festival vibe, with big screens showing replays, expert commentary, food trucks and merchandise stands. The Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival is the flagship annual literature event of Arts Margaret River. It is the biggest regional literary event in Western Australia and aims to foster a love of literature and the arts within the community. SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon |
The SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon is entering its 21st year and is an event that is much loved by the triathlon community. It is an even with long-standing history, originating in Collie before moving to Rottnest Island, Margaret River and finally settling in the town of Busselton where it has been welcomed by the community since 2022. Since then, the event has grown and now spans an entire weekend. In 2022 the evolution of the event will now include the Busselton 100 triathlon. This includes a swim alongside the iconic Busselton Jetty, a ride through the Tuart Forest and a run along the Busselton Foreshore and through the event village filled with hundreds of spectators. |
