Regrettably, despite active lobbying from various quarters, the State Government has refused to reverse its decision to scrap the WET Rebate scheme.
The MRBTA had been instrumental in enlisting support to lobby parliament on this matter and were very fortunate to have Barry House, MLC, take up the cause however as at 13July’15 all approaches have been met with refusal by the State Government to rescind the decision.
A number of individuals and groups, including Wines of WA and Barry House, are continuing to fight against this decision and should any developments arise we will keep you informed.
