You may have noticed a story hitting the headlines recently about one of your fellow MRBTA members, Vasse Virgin, who have been involved in a legal struggle with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Enterprises Limited (VEL), who challenged their right to use the word ‘Virgin’ in their trademark. After two years, VEL has withdrawn its opposition = huge celebrations for the Vasse Virgin team! Vasse Virgin is now ‘extending the olive branch’ to Sir Richard, by inviting him to visit the Margaret River Region when he is in Australia next month for the National Achiever’s Congress in Sydney.
As it’s such a great cause (and fantastic publicity for the region!), the MRBTA and Vasse Virgin have collaborated to produce a personalised video invitation to Sir Richard. Vasse Virgin’s Edwina Scherini and some other locals extend the olive branch to Sir Richard to visit the region and indulge in some of the activities he’s a fan of, such as kitesurfing and wine tasting. The tongue-in-cheek script incorporates some of Sir Richard’s book titles – see if you can pick them!
How can you help?

It’s also great destination promotion for the Margaret River Region so it’s a win win!
