The world famous Margaret River Gourmet Escape once again descends on the Margaret River Region for another year, bringing a fantastic line up of amazing food, fine wines, great beer and celebrity chefs.

Margaret River Gourmet Escape is excited to support an incredible line-up of Fringe Events being held across the region. Fringe Events are run by local venues to celebrate the Gourmet Escape weekend. Continue your adventures throughout the beautiful Margaret River Wine Region at your choice of Fringe Events brought to life in local restaurants and wineries.

CLOUDBURST WINE DINNER

Cloudburst creator and avant-garde vigneron Will Berliner presents his ground breaking Margaret River wines alongside the gastronomy of trailblazing guest chef/entrepreneur Clint Nolan, and award-winning guest sommelier Dan Wegener.

Clint will team with Executive Chef Rick Houston from Settlers Tavern to create an inspiring and memorable menu highlighting the region’s best produce to match these great wines.

Sidekick Café will be the unique site of one of the most exciting regional food and wine events of the year. Tickets include pre-dinner reception, dinner and accompanying wine.

HANDS ON VODKA INFUSION

Still House, The Grove Experience, Wilyabrup WA

Taking place in the Still House, The Grove Experience Distiller, James Reed will explain the distillation process and have samples of produce that are used during the maturation period for people to experience.

Participants will also taste two TGE infused vodkas before infusing their own bottle of tripled distilled Executive Vodka with a selection of fresh produce. Bottles will be individually labelled and sealed for take home.

Join Heydon Estate for an exclusive vertical tasting of their internationally acclaimed The Willow Chardonnay, presented in Riedel glassware and side by side. The tasting includes the last 6 releases of The Willow Chardonnay from 2007-2012, winner of the GOLDS’s at the International Wine Challenge Perth, Melbourne and Margaret River Shows. Guest will also enjoy a glass of the newly released CHIN MUSIC Sauvignon Blanc and canapés on arrival.

There will be a limited opportunity offered to purchase back vintages.

HOWARD PARK VERTICAL WINE DINNER AT THE STUDIO BISTRO

The Studio Gallery & Bistro are joining forces with Burch Family wines for one of the greatest fringe events of the 2015 Gourmet Escape calendar, bringing together exceptional food and premium wines for a night of unforgettable dining.

The evening will commence with canapés paired with the 2009 Franck Bonville Millesime Brut Champagne. This will be followed by a six course degustation dinner paired with eleven of the finest Howard Park and Marchand & Burch wines, sourced exclusively from the Burch family’s museum.

After the success of the Inaugural event last year, we’re again introducing a feast of bush flavours within a contemporary international cuisine to tempt your senses with internationally renowned Aboriginal Chef Mark Olive aka ‘The Black Olive’ and Josh Whiteland from award winning local South West business Koomal Dreaming.

Supported by Aboriginal hospitality students from various High Schools as well as the Outback Academy apprentices, you’ll have a cultural culinary experience surrounded by the Noongar Art Exhibition as well as the music from our talented Noongar artists who are able to capture the hearts and imagination of an audience through song.

We will be taking you on a journey that you won’t get anywhere else and will leave you with an experience you are not likely to forget.
