We were so excited to host our first Member Mingle for 2021 and particularly at such an epic location as Shelter Brewing Co on the Busselton Foreshore.

With around 120 members in attendance, it was great to see so many members get together to kick off MRBTA’s 2021 networking calendar.

Shelter Brewing Co were the kind hosts of the event. While watching the sunset over the Busselton Foreshore from their balcony was definitely a highlight, so to were the delicious brews and food provided by the super fun and friendly Shelter team.

And it was a total family affair with delectable wines provided by Credaro Family Estate.

Sharna Kearney, MRBTA Joint CEO gave an update of the last few months noting that while tourism appears to be performing well on the surface, not all businesses were feeling the benefits.  She acknowledged that there are a number of challenges currently facing local businesses including: off-peak visitation patterns which see very busy weekends and much quieter weekdays; fluctuating interstate borders which create uncertainty about future visitation; and, staff shortages.  She noted that now more than ever it was critical that the region worked together to attract visitation, and that MRBTA, ASW and TWA would be presenting their marketing plans prior to the March Member Mingle.

Jason Credaro welcomed members to Shelter Brewing Co for the evening and celebrated the team that have worked together to create what is already becoming an icon of Busselton.

Thank you to all that attended and a huge thank you to the event’s sponsors:
Shelter Brewing Co and Credaro Family Estate.

We hope to see you at our next Mingle on Wednesday, March 24th.  This will be an informative evening with a joint marketing plan presentation before the Mingle from Tourism WA, Australia’s South West and MRBTA.  Full details will be provided soon.
