Australia’s South West & MRBTA Mingle & Jingle Wrap

By December 14, 2023Member Events

There was a feeling of festive celebration as we came together with members for the 2023 Mingle & Jingle co-hosted with our industry partners at Australia’s South West.

A huge thanks to our hosts at Cape Mentelle, it was the perfect space to toast to the year that was and the year that will be.  Another thanks to our transport providers at Cape to Cape Wine Tours & Charters and South West Chauffeured Escapes for providing an efficient service allowing guests to travel safely while they enjoyed the night! And thanks to Tim Campbell Photo for the happy snaps from the night which you can check out below.

What made the evening even more special was the opportunity to raise funds for the Margaret River Community Pantry, which works to divert food that would otherwise be wasted to local people in need and has redistributed over 40 tonnes of food in the last year amidst growing demand for the service as cost-of-living pressures rise. The Pantry is a registered charity and relies on fundraisers, community donations, successful grant applications and business donations in order to operate. Those keen to support the work of Margaret River Community Pantry can donate food or financial assistance. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/margaretrivercommunitypantry or www.margaretrivercommunitypantry.org.au

The Christmas spirit was flowing with generous donations of door prizes from Amaze’n Margaret River, Bettenay’s Margaret River, Uniquely Balanced, Whicher Ridge Wines and a surprise last-minute addition from the team at Pullman Bunker Bay.  Congratulations to the winners and we hope you enjoy your chance to be tourists and enjoy some of the wonderful experiences available in our region.

Our Industry team are now working on the calendar of events for 2024 and you can put Thursday 8 February in your diary for the Margaret River Wine Association’s 2024 Vintage Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony at Pioneer Park, Cowaramup.  Last year’s event was really special and 2024 is looking to be even better.

Thank you to everyone who attended an event in 2023, it means a lot to us to get to catch up with our members regularly and to provide these opportunities for you to forge new connections in the local tourism network.
