Sunday, October 18th 2015 – Formally the Margaret River Fun Run has relaunched this year as the Margaret River Running Festival.
Choose the 4km or 10km Road Run or the 15km Trail Run to take in the spectacular Margaret River scenery. Starting at various locations and all finishing at the world renowned Surfers Point surf break, with finish line festivities at Rifle Butts Park. The Margaret River Running Festival is a great way to start your Sunday…run, jog, walk, enjoy!
4 KM ROAD RUN – Go solo or bring the kids and meander the 4 kilometre path from Wallcliffe Rd Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, down the hill overlooking the spectacular Margaret River Boat Ramp and Main Break to finish at Surfers Point.
10KM ROAD RUN – Set yourself a personal objective, grab some mates, limber up and throw yourself into the 10 kilometre run from Gloucester Oval in Margaret River township, along the bush path, past kangaroos and wineries towards to coast to finish at the amazing Surfers Point, Prevelly.
15 KM Trail Run – Challenge yourself…Ouch! Head south from Surfers Point, Prevelly, along the Gnarabup and Boodjidup path & beaches, back east along the south side of Boodjidup Creek, up the crazy steps (for the uninitiated these are 183 steps climbing away from Boodjidup Creek) to follow the Cape to Cape track north along the Prevelly ridge back to Wallcliffe Rd, finish with our other runners at the spectacular, Surfers Point, Prevelly overlooking Main Break.
