MRBTA supports Variety’s AV8 charity bash – join in the fun at Clancy’s

By March 15, 2017Events

Join 200 ‘AV8’ charity flight punters at Clancy’s Fish Pub Dunsborough this Saturday 18 March for an afternoon fundraiser with Australian pop rock band Thirsty Merc to raise funds for Variety.

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) will be bringing in two F100 aircraft to enjoy a day in the South West to raise money for the cause, and seven of the MRBTA ground handling team at the Busselton-Margaret River Regional Airport will donate their time to service the flight.

MRBTA staff are happy to give their time in support of a great cause, so we’d love to see some of our members at the event to join in the fun!

Their work allows children to gain mobility and freedom, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase self-esteem, and where possible, assistance to help them integrate into mainstream school and activities. AV8 is an area of Variety that raises funds for the charity.

Variety have run charity flights to the Busselton-Margaret River Regional Airport since 2010 and MRBTA ground handling staff have donated their services every year.

Tickets for the whole event are sold through Variety, with the Thirsty Merc tickets being sold online here.
