Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Member Update and Annual General Meeting at Clairault Streicker Wines.

The evening was warmly received and included an overview of our key achievements as we work to build on the economic, cultural, social and environmental contributions that tourism makes to our community. These achievements are highlighted in our 2023 Annual Report.

The AGM formalities included the results of the Board elections, with Keith Warrick from Eagle Bay Brewing Co. re-joining the Board, and Matthew Skinner from Yallingup Galleries welcomed as a new Board member. Both appointments are for a three-year term.

We had the opportunity to thank Janine Carter, who has retired from the MRBTA Board after 7 years of service, including 5 as Deputy Chair. Janine has made an enormous contribution to the development of the MRBTA, and her deep knowledge of the industry will be missed.

It was a privilege to be able to congratulate in person the newly-elected City of Busselton Mayor, Phill Cronin, and Shire of Augusta Margaret River President, Julia Meldrum. We also thanked the outgoing Mayor, Grant Henley, and President, Paula Cristoffanini, for their incredible service to the region. We look forward to continuing to build on our strong relationships with our local government partners.

We would like to reaffirm my gratitude to all MRBTA members and our many associates and partners for their contribution to our collective endeavours over the last year.
