Southern Stars Holiday Park in Dunsborough has developed new camping facilities for seasonal workers which are now open for bookings. The development has been made possible thanks to funding from the State Government, support from the City of Busselton, and the dedication of Southern Stars Holiday Park team. The process has been supported by the Margaret River Region Temporary Worker Accommodation Steering Group, which includes MRBTA, Margaret River Wine Association (MRWA), the South West Development Commission (SWDC) and the City of Busselton.
Alongside MRWA, MRBTA has been working for a number of years to address the region’s challenges in securing the seasonal workforce which is so critical for our tourism, hospitality and wine industries. This is a longstanding and complex issue for our region, and it is encouraging that industry and government are coming together to progress both short- and long-term solutions for these important industries.
