Listing Check-Up: Is Your Member Listing in Good Health?

Have you checked your business listing on recently? As we edge ever closer to the busiest time of the year, it’s the perfect opportunity to ensure that it is up to date and giving your business the best possible representation to the site’s thousands of daily visitors.

We recommend that you start by performing a search from the homepage to ensuring your business is discoverable as you want it to be. If you offer bookable products, we encourage you to test their availability directly from your listing. Verify that the displayed dates and pricing are accurate. Keep in mind that pricing and availability data is sourced from Bookeasy via your channel manager, so any discrepancies may originate from there.

Irrespective of any obvious errors, bookable operators might want to login to Bookeasy to ensure their bank details, product information, and cancellation policies are accurate on there to ensure compliance with MRBTA’s member By-laws.

Whether you offer bookable products or not, the primary objective of your member listing is to guide visitors to your website. Therefore, it’s essential to ensure that the ‘Visit Website’ button directs to the correct site.

Additionally, take a moment to review all other aspects of how your business is presented.

  • When was the last time you updated your content or refreshed your photos?
  • Are your opening hours accurately synchronised with your Google Business account?
  • Do you still maintain your listed Pinterest account, or is it time to retire it?
  • Could your listed tour be linked directly to the relevant booking page rather than requiring visitors to navigate their way through your website to find it again?

One aspect often overlooked is how your listing appears on mobile devices. If there’s an excessive amount of information or scrolling required to reach the bottom of the page, consider optimising the content for a smoother visitor experience.


You are also able to add in some ‘Latest News’ if you’ve recently completed renovations, updated your opening hours or made any kind of update you would like to showcase to visitors.
